Okay so basically, I haven't been able to blog for quite a while now, I've noticed.
I apologise for that but I seem to be experiencing a lack of creativity ... until now that is :)
I have discovered the new art form of Lip Art and I am now, as I type trying out my own lip art .... I must admit, it's quite fun although I do wonder what my housemates will think if they walk into my room now, with me painting my lips in a mirror with face paint and eyeliner .... I can imagine I would get quite a few worried looks and laughs ... Anywho ... I will keep you posted with photos :)
Happy Blogging

Ancient History
My lecture on Monday really made me think about something, and that's always a good sign when you're paying thousands of pounds to get an education in University.
We first started discussing ages within my group, as in which decade we were born in and whatnot, and it got me thinking about ages. What do we consider history, ancient history and mythology?
Is Greek Mythology called that because it was thousands of years ago or because now a days Science has overrun our belief that the Mythological stories told in museums and books may have the slightest slice of truth in them.
Is history made every moment something extraordinary happens, or do we have to wait at least 50 years for it to be considered relevant to the history books?
Thinking about this, what would we be called in hundreds of years? Will our methods of medicine and technology get laughed at by the children of the future when they attend their home school classes with their holographic teachers? It's inevitable that the breakthroughs we are all awed by right now will become as useless as the first stone squared wheel but how far will things go in the future? There are so many questions that can be asked concerning our future and the future of our generations to come.
The scary thought is that everything we write, say and do will soon become mythology one day. I'm sure Hercules, Perseus, Ceaser, Stalin, Hitler, Blackbeard and Thatcher didn't think about becoming hated, loved and subjects of our classroom discussions. Will films be made about the things we have gone through in our time alive? Will Disney still be around to document, in animation and song, the adventures of Princess Diana, with a happier ending? What animals will become extinct? Which literary works will become censured or banned?
I don't know about you my dear readers, but I would love to be able to look down on the world in hundreds of years and smile fondly at their advanced knowledge, the stories they tell about what is our present day ... such an interesting though, don't you think?

Real Friends
Well, this must be my latest post to date ... and it's one of those non poetic, rambling posts that are needed to clear the mind and take the weight off.
Tonight has been something of a rollercoaster. I won't bore you with the details as they are long winded and extremely 'ranting' but tonight has shown me who I can truly count on as friends.
Everyone has the same types of friends. They may see it, they may not, they may realise but choose to ignore it like I do because they think in their mind 'They're not so bad, once you dig deeper than the exterior' but then something happens, something along the lines of the night I have just had where everything just ... clicks into place.
Friend types ... Yes. Well everyone has the 'Best Friend'. They call this person a 'Best Friend' because this person is there for them. This friend will be there to talk, even if you are miles away from them, and they will always find a way to talk. They will use bbm, text, facebook, phone...anything. Sometimes it will seem like they haven't bothered but then you realise that these minor moments are the result of something big in their lives that you can't fault them on (unless you are heartless). These friends are the type of person that you can not speak to for days on end, sometimes weeks, sometimes months and yet when you meet up with them, it's like nothing ever changed. Everything just turns back around to the moment before you stopped talking. You may have arguments but things will ALWAYS work itself out with you and your 'Best Friend'. The best part of this friendship is that the words 'Best Friend' don't constantly come up in everyday life, like the other types I will soon show. This is because they don't always have to assure themselves and you that you're close, they know it and they respect it. The friends who constantly remind you of your friendship are the ones who are insecure, who don't know the meaning of friendship and/or are showing it off to the rest of the world, just because they can.
Then there's the 'So-Called Best Friend'. This friend ticks most of the boxes that I just mentioned above, however with one small difference. This friend isn't there when you need them. They may seem like they are, they may tell you that they are, but when push comes to shove, they will not be there. They are not 'just a call away' because when you do call them they will be doing something else. Don't get me wrong, I ... like many other people ... do not expect my friends to drop everything they are doing for me, but courtesy and care is something that should be shown to a friend. This friend does not know the meaning of these words, even though throughout your friendship you think they do. The 'So-Called Best Friend' will not drop everything for your phone call, but they sure as hell expect you to drop it for them. Things are not reciprocal with them and a lot of the time they don't know what reciprocal means. You have to be on guard with these ones, they will use the best friend card time and time again ... just to get what they want.
Another friend type is the 'Me, Myself and I Friend'. Like the 'So-Called Best Friend' things are not reciprocal with this one. Things are all about themselves. They are your friend because they are a laugh, they're there when you need a buddy to go swimming with, or running, or an art class, but the hobbies you two share are only because they want to do them. Things are always on their terms. A big factor in this friend is the conversation you have with them. Unlike the 'Best Friend' these friends love to keep the conversation on them. Don't even think about getting an honest opinion from them about a problem, or a question because they will say whatever they can just to bring the attention back on them. These friends are usually the most insecure of them all and they more than likely didn't get any attention from their home life, therefore they feel like they must get it from the people they work with, or go to school with. There are many friends like this. It's almost hard to get away from them, really so you just have to be careful. Don't expect too much out of them because they won't deliver, even if they promise they will.
The most superficial friend of all is the 'Plastic Friend'. This friend is pretty much as useful, opinion and conversation wise, as a plastic doll. They will lie to you just for your friendship. It sounds flattering, but it's just demeaning. They don't see you as someone who is equal, or better. They see you as someone who doesn't deserve the truth. If you ask whether the dress looks good in black or bright orange, they will tell you it looks amazing in orange, just because they want to look better. They are the jealous type and their conversation consists of fashion, boys and the tedious work they're forced to overcome, either in school or the workplace. Never ask anything intellectual of these friends because you will get as response similar to the response of a plastic doll ... These are the friends to drop, the ones you don't need ... because, really, who needs any more lies in their life?
There are also 'Statement Friends'. These are the fun ones. You're not as close as you are to some of the others but these friends know how to make you feel good on a rainy day. They will take you out, they will force you into a make over because they know it's the best thing for you, or they will book that all needed holiday for you, just because they care. Don't expect the deep, hard hitting, problematic advice that you might be wanting from them, because they don't know how to deal with that, but they know how to make you smile, just by pampering you. These are the friends that have the best fashion, make up and guy tips, the ones with the most experience ;) and they ones that are more likely to tell you 'there are plenty more, better looking fish in the sea'.
You can also get the 'Chillaxing Friend'. This is the one you go to if you don't want to party. This is the one who has the sensible head on her shoulders. She knows what to say, and she gives the advice you want to keep in your head for future reference. Her conversation goes deeper than foundation, and she has an endless collection of books, DVD's and music for you to read, or watch, or listen to while you talk. Her best solution to traumatic problems is a cup of hot chocolate and a large bag of Chocolate Buttons. This friend is cute. Her smile makes you feel so much better, especially when you have the worst luck in the world, seeing this friend makes things worth while even if it's just for a couple of hours.
The last one I want to tell you about is the 'Mummy Friend'. Sometimes this friend is just that. A Mummy. Sometimes, she's your own Mummy, sometimes she's a friend's Mummy, or just a Mummy in general. And sometimes she's someone who will turn out to be a brilliant Mummy when the time is right. She's the one who gives amazing hugs. She doesn't talk much, but she listens. She's the shoulder to cry on when you need it, she's the one who has the tissues and the aspirin when you've have a messy break up, or a huge argument and she'll make sure, if you need her, she will call when she can, just to make sure that you're okay. She's the kind of friend who wants to know that you got back home safe from the party, even if you're in a taxi with three other people. She cares. Of course sometimes this can be a guy as well so then he's the 'Daddy Friend' and his hugs are extra special because a guys hugs are pretty damn wonderful.
Well, there are many more of friend types, and I might just enlighten you guys later on in my blog, however for now I will leave you with them. Tonight I found my 'Best Friend', my 'Me, Myself and I Friend', and my 'Plastic Friend'. The amazing thing is a lot of the time, these friend types can be melded into one person. It's not all straight forward with friends, and it takes a long night, and a lot of gin sometimes to let you realise that on your own.
Just be careful with your friends. When you've found the good ones, keep them and make sure they know how much you love them ... trust me, it means a lot. :)

AVPM/S
So I have defnitely fallen in LOVE with these two geniuses right here for their awesome performance of A Very Potter Musical and the Sequel, which you can find on YouTube! I am not ashamed to admit that I have the entire soundtrack for both shows, I know all the words and I'm pretty obsessed :)
If you haven't watched it then you should !!! It made me love the Harry/Ginny ship, PLUS Ron is so totally awesome it's almost unreal :)
I know this isn't the best example of a blog right now but I had to show my love for these two because they are indeed ....TOTALLY AWESOME <3

Faith
The world can seem such a beautiful place sometimes, and other times it can be cruel, harsh and dark. Fantasies can run wild, and dreams can be dashed with one word. People can be so lovely, so kind, so selfless, where the others are rude and obnoxious, only caring about themselves. When two groups of people, each from a different upbringing and a different view of life, come together it could mean disaster, or complete happiness. In films, the directors play along with it, making everything seem hopeless until that selfish character is shown the error of their ways. They finally see the good in the world and everything turns into a ‘Happily Ever After’. Real life is far from that. It’s the people who are selfish that get everything in the world, they find everything they ever wanted and they manipulate people into seeing them in a different way. The people who live their lives with no lies, no secrets and no harsh words are the ones who have to fight for what they want. They have to struggle for the dreams they want to achieve, and all they can do is hold onto the belief that those bad people in their lives will one day get their comeuppance.
Unfortunately these people are gravely mistaken, and its moments like these, when the realisation sinks in that you are going to have to live your life hating these people and never watching them fall that really makes you lose your faith. I used to have a faith, I used to believe in a God, I used to Love. Despite the hard times, the bullying and the crying, I always thought there was someone up there watching, waiting for the right moment to bring something good to me. I don't have a hard life. A lot of the time I love my life, my friends and my family. But then there are times that make me want to break down and cry. There have been many times in the last four years where I have curled up in the middle of my bed, turned up the slow, sad songs and cried until my throat hurt. I suppose I still don't have that much of a faith, or at least I wouldn't call it faith, but something happened to me in between these tear wrenching moments of despair. It wasn't a bright white light, or the Angel Gabriel. I didn't experience a near death experience or join a brainwashing cult, but it was something that made me smile through my tears. My memories.

I focused on the bad things in life. I focused on the few people in my primary school that made me feel like I wasn't worth anything. I homed in on my reflection in the mirror, cursing the fact that all anyone ever saw when they looked at me was 'fat'. I hated the house I was living in, and the step family I had acquired. But then I thought to myself...the good things do outweigh the bad. Even the little things about me. I love the idea of me knowing more about Harry Potter and Twilight than any sane person should. I can sing, and whether people like to hear it or not, I have a nice voice. If you give me a song I have never heard of before, give me three days and I will know the tune, the words and the context it's in. I have a loving mother and a handful of special friends who will always be there for me. And I have style, which is more than a lot of people I know can say for themselves. It made me believe that there is always something good about you, no matter how bad things are. Faith may have nothing to do with it and I don't believe in waiting for something to happen. If you want something to happen, make it happen. Focus on the good, and drown out the bad ... trust me, it never fails!!
Empty
Usually I've got so much going on in my head but at the moment ....there's not much !! I don't even have anything to write about ... my mind is like a barren desert with no water to quench my thirst for ideas .... Frankee's idea droplets have all dried out :'(
It might have something to do with the fact that all of my friends are arguing right now and I'm being used as the centre piece in their debate !! Grrr ... why must I always be the middle man (or girl). It's frustrating! No one can be creative when everyone is angry at everyone else ... *sigh*
Let's hope for better days people :) Maybe one day everyone will see that life isn't quite as dramatic as people would like it to be ....

My Day
I definitely feel the need to blog about this day, and the days leading up to this day. It may not seem like something totally exciting to an outsider, but I promise you, dear readers, it has been a day perfect for reality tv ... or even 90210 if you discount the fact that we live no where near the sun, sea or sand (and I don't live in a house with a pool).
So, I started my day off with waking up at quarter to 10 because of a bbm (Blackberry Messenger) from my Crazy best friend telling me she has gossip about a guy she likes and how she finds out that he is a psycho. I listen and make plans with her to go into our local coffee shop and console her before she bursts into manic tears. We have a gossip about the lies and cheats that the Psycho Guy has done to her, a slight bitch session about the drama we have been through with some of our friends, eat lunch and try things on in our little clothes shop. After this I meet up with my other Musical bestie, who happens to be leaving for Uni soon for the new term and we catch her up on all of the friend drama we had been through while she was away with family. I think Facebook causes more problems than it's worth really ! After she is caught up we say good bye to the Crazy best friend and myself and the Musical bestie make our way to my house to play my new game Glee Karaoke on the Wii (brilliant game I can assure you, I highly recommend it). My mother's 'ill' boyfriend was home today because he caught 'man flu' which consisted of nothing whatsoever except a case of laziness!! My mother warned him the night before that I had someone round to play a singing game and everything was ok. So we set up the Wii and start to sing. Can I just point out at this moment that were were both amazing at it and definitely should be in glee for real ;) Anywho my mother's 'ill' boyfriend comes down to ask us to turn the volume down so I did, no big deal.
At this point I should explain to you that my mother and I live with my mother's 'ill' boyfriend along with his two worthless, ungrateful children, an ugly lesbian daughter and a rude son. The Lesbian daughter is my age, the Rude son- two years younger. Now, as the Lesbian daughter does not like me in the slightest, you can imagine there was a facebook status posted about me while we were playing our game. This did not bother me as I'm not friends with her on facebook yet my Musical bestie is so she told me. What bothered me was a comment on it, saying 'is 'she' back?' Now I don't know about you dear readers, but I do not think that my name is 'she' or at least that is not what I was christened. To top it off, she commented back saying 'someone gave her Singstar, you cannot imagine what I'm going through'. I did not realise that listening to Singstar, or any singing is something that people have to 'go through'. Because of this I commented back , through my Musical bestie, telling her that I have a name, it's not Singstar but Glee karaoke and that if she had a problem with it then she should tell me instead of hide in her room and then run away from the house ... The one thing I am proud of is that our voices drove my Wicked Step Family away from the house !! Now that is an achievement and a half.
So my dear readers, talk about a wonderfully filled drama, with broken friendships, messed up love lives and dysfunctional families!
So, Good Luck Readers :)

Cheating?
I love writing ... I always have and I think I always will. It's my one escape, the thing that keeps me sane when I'm in a house full of people that have the ability to drive me up the wall. I've always been told that I am a good author as well, the only problem is I can only get ideas that have already been done.
Now I'm not saying I copy my ideas from well known books but I have a very specific style and that's fantasy. I've tried to get away from that by writing something real, something that relates to me but somehow I can't get my head around reality, it all seems too mundane. My style is magic so I write about it. However it's a genre that everyone is into at the moment, which is a problem for me. I just seem like I'm copying other authors ideas, just because my mind works on the same wavelength. I've written a book, more of a story that goes on, but the problem is it's so much like Twilight. I don't understand. Why does everything have to be so similar with vampires and werewolves? It's frustrating !!
So right now, I've given up on my own creations and I've turned to my old teenage ways of writing Fan Fiction. Now, this I cannot decide on.
Fan Fiction is something fans write, taking a very well known book and twisting it, mixing things up, bringing in new characters and creating new character relationships. Now I enjoy doing this, I have many Fan Fiction folders, and my favourite has to be my Harry Potter fanfic. I'm a huge fan of Harry Potter and a lot of my stories are based on the books, just messed around a bit. But I can't decide whether it's cheating or not. Is it just a practice exercise for authors to explore their own writing style, or is it really cheating to take another authors ideas and make them their own in a blatantly obvious way? I would have thought I would feel bad if I wrote fanfic but I love it too much. There are so many ideas rolling around in my head, relating to Harry Potter, and it's almost frustrating that I can't think of anything else this good with my own plots!!
Will I ever be a well known author? Will I ever get my dream job or am I ruining it as I type each Harry Potter related word on my laptop? I suppose I'll find out sooner or later but in the mean time, I'm having too much fun writing to stop !!
So I just want to let you all know, if it makes you happy, keep writing it! Forget what people think and do it your own way :)
